Lee Jialing
Speech and Language Therapist
Qualifications
Master of Speech Pathology, Curtin University
About
Jialing's journey started when she received the MOHH graduate scholarship to pursue speech therapy at Curtin University. During her post-graduate studies, Jialing also volunteered to mentor a student on the Autism Spectrum. That helped create a curiosity and desire to delve deeper into paediatric work, and she has since developed a special interest in working with children. Jialing has experience diagnosing and providing therapy for young children.
Jialing is fully registered with the AHPC and has worked in an acute tertiary hospital for more than 5 years. During this time, she has worked closely with clients from a diverse caseload and those with complex medical needs. Jialing also collaborated with other healthcare professions such as rehabilitation physicians, occupational therapist, physiotherapist and dietician to achieve therapy goals for clients who are under her care.
Besides working with clients, Jialing has also helped as a clinical educator for speech pathology students from NUS and SIT. Outside of work, Jialing volunteers at Aphasia SG, a support group for Persons With Aphasia (PWA) and is a core team member.
Jialing strives to ensure therapy is fun and enjoyable for children, while building a positive relationship with their families.
Jialing is fluent in English, Mandarin, basic Hokkien and Cantonese.
During her free time, you can find Jialing outdoors and enjoying the sun. She loves scuba diving and hiking.
