About

Tarisa holds a Master of Science in Speech and Language Therapy from City, University of London, and a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Psychology and Language Sciences from University College London (UCL). She is fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.

Tarisa began her professional journey in 2021 at a special education school in Singapore where she worked with children and teenagers with a wide range of developmental needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, and Multiple Disabilities.

A firm believer in the saying “It takes a village”, Tarisa has collaborated closely with families, teachers, social workers, and job coaches to ensure each child receives comprehensive care beyond the therapy room.

Tarisa takes a child-centred, strengths-based approach to therapy by looking at each child holistically. She incorporates their unique strengths and interests to make therapy sessions motivating and fun, believing that children learn best when they are meaningfully engaged.

Outside of work, Tarisa enjoys spending time with her dog and staying active through yoga and barre.
