FOR EXPAT FAMILIES IN SINGAPORE

New to Singapore and your child needs early intervention?

Singapore's subsidised early intervention programme, known as EIPIC and EIPIC-P, is only open to citizens and permanent residents. Dinosaur School is a highly-regarded private early intervention programme near the CBD that any family can join. No referral needed.

Set up for families who might be on the move

Already had therapy or intervention back home? We pick up from there

Bring the reports, goals or IEP from your previous centre or therapist. We prepare before your child starts, talk to you to understand better, and then run our own assessment to see where they are now, so we build on what's already working instead of starting over.

Ready for international school

We work on-site at several international schools in Singapore, so we know what their classrooms ask of a child. We build those skills, and with your consent, share progress reports and goals with the school's learning support team so everyone pulls in the same direction.

Paperwork for claims

Itemised invoices and reports you can submit to your insurer or company benefits plan. Cover depends on your plan, so check with them first.

Reports that travel

Moving again? We write up your child's progress and  goals and facilitate the transition, so a therapist or school in your next country can pick up immediately from there.

See every morning, even from work

Photos and videos from every session land in our parent app, so you can see how your child's morning went from the office or on a work trip.

What your child will get

A move is a lot of change for a young child. New home, new faces, new routines. Keeping early intervention going gives your child something steady, and stops the progress they’ve made from slipping while everything else settles.

Small classes

Small classes of 3–4 children per class, with 2 educators.

Therapists in the room

Speech and occupational therapists work inside the classroom, so therapy happens during real activities, not only in a separate session.

Child-led

A child-led, play- and fun-focused approach.

Clear goals

Goals in communication, play, daily routines, and fine and gross motor skills.

Daily updates

Photos and videos from every session in our parent app, so you can see how each morning went.

Regular outings

We encourage giving the children opportunities to go out and about to practise what they've learnt

A typical morning

9AM - 12PM

timeline-desktop.png

9.00       Arrive and settle.

Each child does as much of the arrival routine as they can on their own. Teachers step in only where needed.

9.15       Morning circle

Sitting with the group, greeting each other in turn, and going through a picture schedule so the morning feels predictable.

9.30       Table time

Focused work on each child's own goals. For one child that's asking for things in words, for another it's holding a pencil or finishing a puzzle.

10.00       Move

Obstacle courses and ball games for gross motor skills, with plenty of practice waiting, taking turns and following instructions.

10.30       Snack

One of the best times in the day to practise communication. Children ask for what they want, open their own containers and eat together.

10.55       Play

Guided play in small groups, building from playing next to other children to playing with them.

11.30       Art, sensory or story

Changes through the week. Each one works on fine motor skills, attention, or getting comfortable with new textures.

11.50       Goodbye circle

Looking back on the morning together, so children practise talking about what they did.

12.00       Pickup

A quick word with the teacher about how your child's morning went.

Now, A is better regulated, more confident, curious to explore and she has gained more independence. She is also better at communicating her needs and wants and she imitates vocal sounds. Now, she adapts much better to changes and she is thriving in her new school.
